For my artist’s most recent Beijing Show, she has asked me to compose an art book for her exhibition on ‘Honey’. She showed me a copy of her previous art book on another project to get a basic idea of the style, layout, components etc. We communicated through Facetime on some of the deadlines and requirements, while she sent me through some of the text and image components that will be used in this art book.
Since my artist has viewed my website before, she is satisfied with my composing style and ability in graphic aspects. I also find this is more in my comfort zone, where I had many practices on recomposing existing images during university studies.
It was also my job to confirm some details before I get started, such as: size, font, background colour, and how artistic my artist prefers. Then I mainly used Adobe Illustration for this, where I layout a draft and sent it though, waiting on more text information and images being sent to me.
