First Draft

After the briefing, I started working on the first draft of the required cg art, which is shown below. I made 3 sketches of each potential transition scene, along with a more detailed sketch with my inspiration attached to show my artist a creative process and how it reflects on the theme of the project. I sent these drafts through to my artist first to be approved before moving on to each of them individually.

I think my working method since high school has been very transferable even to a working setting now. I have been including different versions of drafts, labelled sketches and cut-out inspiration images in portfolios or personal archives during the previous projects, which become handy and allows whoever is viewing it to have a clear idea of this layout. This process is also necessary for the artist and myself to double-check if we are on the same page, where anything that needs to be changed can be identified in the early stages. I have learnt that wasted productivity is the last thing you would want in a project like this.

However, I was a bit nervous and also being transparent about I have never done a large-scale environmental digital art before. And my artist was being really supportive of it and she said she has other artists that she is working with who can help by guiding me.
