Other Attempts

During the next two weeks, some work was assigned to me and didn’t end up being used in the final project. Both the artist and I are completely fine with this through transparent communication, where I explain my limits and comfort zones. However, I’m very willing to give whatever task is being set a try and very thankful for the opportunity given. Since my goal of placement is mainly to try and explore different roles in the creative industry, this is a good opportunity for me to learn what I enjoy and am good at.

For example, this image was another potential CG art that was meant to be included as a transition scene. However, it didn’t end up fitting the theme, and I wasn’t that satisfied with the drawing either. I find it relatively hard to imagine or predict the vibe needed while the physical game is worked on at the same time. This means there are no existing resources that I can use to create this piece. Overall, it is still an attempt I tried to do.

Here’s another attempt at the task of UI design that I was asked to try on, where I shouldn’t be using layer painting but using vector art instead. This is caused by my own misunderstanding because otherwise, my usual art style would be perfect for this design. However, I have learnt my mistake from it.
